France expels 10 British extremists after actions against refugee boats

Jan 15, 2026

Paris [France], January 15: France has expelled 10 British right-wing extremists who are alleged to have destroyed refugee boats on the northern French coast and spread propaganda calling for an end to migration across the English Channel.
The British nationals, identified as activists of the Raise the Colours group, have been banned from entering and staying in France, Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez announced on Wednesday. Their actions, which he said had incited hatred and discrimination, were deemed to be likely to seriously disrupt public order.
There had been reports from various sources about the far-right activists, who were said to have been particularly involved in searching for and destroying refugee boats and spreading propaganda. The actions were aimed at the British public and the group called on British people to join the movement to put an end to migration. For years, large numbers of migrants have been crossing the English Channel in small boats from northern France to reach the United Kingdom. The UK has been trying for some time to stem migration, with French assistance, and is paying millions to Paris to do so.
