Pakistani rupee continues strong recovery against USD

Islamabad (Pakistan), October 5: The Pakistani rupee continued to gain a strong recovery against the U.S. dollar as the greenback was traded at 225.64 rupees in the interbank on Tuesday, according to the State Bank of Pakistan.
The U.S. dollar closed at 227.29 rupees on Monday, and on Tuesday it went down after the local currency appreciated by 1.65 rupees or about 0.73 percent, the official figures showed.
The greenback has fallen down by 14.07 rupees since Sept. 22 when it was closed at 239.71 rupees.
According to market analysts, the strict monitoring from the concerned government authorities has resulted in the increase of the rupee's value.
The analysts expected the local currency to get further stronger in the coming days.
